My Approach

I'm Lola (Loren Alexander) a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, MSW, ASW #132079 whose work is rooted in emotional attunement, relational depth, and integrity. I work with individuals, couples, and families across identities, cultures, and life experiences, offering therapy that adapts to the person in front of me rather than forcing people into rigid models.

My approach is emotionally focused and relational, drawing from my lived experience as a Black Autistic (AuDHD) queer woman to understand and align with the diverse needs and experiences of my clients. I work intuitively and collaboratively, helping clients understand their emotional patterns, repair relational ruptures, and move toward greater alignment between what they feel, what they value, and how they live.

As a Black woman and clinician, I bring a critical awareness of systemic harm into the therapy room without losing sight of tenderness, accountability, or personal agency. My work is especially supportive for people navigating emotional intensity, relationship challenges, identity exploration, recovery, and life transitions.

At the core of my practice is that healing happens when people feel seen clearly, responded to honestly, and supported in becoming more fully themselves.

Individual Therapy + EMDR

$150-200

Individual therapy is for people dealing with trauma, addiction, family dynamics, identity questions, and life transitions that feel too big to navigate alone. This work is about creating space for what's actually happening without rushing toward resolution, honoring the truth of your experience while building capacity for what comes next.

Couples Therapy

For LGBTQ families, blended families, chosen families, and nontraditional parenting systems where the adults need support communicating, making decisions, and protecting the child’s stability.

This work is for co parents who are not looking for child therapy, couples therapy, or mediation, but need a space to slow down the conflict, clarify expectations, and build a more functional way of collaborating. Sessions may focus on communication, trust, accountability, scheduling, expenses, household differences, decision making, and protecting the child’s relationships with all meaningful parenting figures, including non biological and non legal caregivers.

Family Systems + Co Parenting

$250 to $350

Couples therapy is for relationships navigating the complexity of love within structures of power, trauma, and competing survival strategies. Couples therapy is for relationships ready to start building something real, working through the patterns, power dynamics, and survival strategies that keep you stuck in cycles that no longer serve either of you.
