Frequently asked questions.

This page is here to help you feel more grounded before reaching out. If you’re wondering how this space works, what to expect, or whether it’s the right fit, you’re in the right place.

What kind of work do you offer?

Most of my sessions are therapy adjacent, and honestly, the perfect form of support for the average person. I built this space to break free from traditional therapy because I believe it often limits true care. When the default lens is diagnosis and treatment planning, we lose the human in the room. I don’t believe you need to be pathologized just to get support. My work meets you as you are, not as a condition to be treated, but as a person to be witnessed.

Are you a licensed therapist?

No, I am a pre-licensed ACSW (Associate Clinical Social Worker). I currently practice under the clinical supervision of Diane Griggs-Ross, LCSW, through her private practice. I use my own platform to offer supervised therapy in alignment with my brand. I bring my full clinical training, insight, and skillset into this work, and while sessions can feel indistinguishable from therapy, they are legally and ethically structured with integrity. I do not operate as a licensed provider, yet.

What’s the difference between therapy and your other sessions?

Let’s be real. The difference is legal structure, not emotional depth. My non-therapy sessions are intentionally built to be more healing than most therapy, in my opinion. They aren’t formal, they don’t require a diagnosis, and they aren’t bound by insurance timelines. But they are real, human, emotionally attuned containers for truth.

If you need a clinical assessment, a DSM diagnosis, or documentation for mental health treatment, then therapy is appropriate, and I offer that under supervision, through a private practice I am contracted with. But everything else I offer exists because there’s already too much that pathologizes us. This space was built for what traditional therapy often cannot hold.

I don’t know what kind of session I need.

Start with the Offerings page. Read what resonates. Trust your body. We can always figure it out together. If you’re not sure, a Relational Alignment Session is a great general entry point, and it can evolve into something more specific once we connect. You can also book a short 15-minute consultation call to find your fit.

Can I book a session for someone else?

Not usually. Every client must give full, informed consent, which means they have to choose this for themselves. I strongly recommend that you do not book on someone’s behalf unless they’re already involved in the process and ready to participate.

Do you offer sliding scale?

I offer tiered pricing for most of my services. Equity-tier options are reserved for those who need them most and are rooted in community commitment. You can learn more on the Roots & Cultural Commitment page.

Is this a safe space for queer, trans, and neurodivergent people?

Yes. And not just in name. I am a lesbian, autistic, neurodivergent woman with ADHD, and this space is built from that lens. Safety here isn’t performative. It’s embodied.

What if I’m white? Can I still work with you?

Yes. You don’t have to be Black or a person of color to benefit from this space. But if you work with me, you will be asked to move with integrity and awareness. You are welcome here, but this space was created in response to systems that often center whiteness. I work most deeply with those who understand that, and who are open to entering a space that was not built with whiteness as the default. You will not be coddled. But you will be cared for completely, if you’re ready to be in right relationship with the work.

What’s the best way to contact you?

Email me. Please allow 24 to 48 business hours, and up to 5 business days for a response.

I do not offer 24/7 communication or emotional processing via text unless you’re enrolled in a crisis retainer. I also work at a private practice and run this space with care and intention. As a Projector, rest is not optional, it’s part of how I show up for you fully.

Do I need to complete paperwork before my session?

Yes. All clients will receive intake forms via email that must be completed prior to our first meeting. These include informed consent, boundaries, and any additional agreements required based on the service you choose.

What happens if I cancel or no-show?

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund or reschedule. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are not refundable unless otherwise arranged. Some services, like crisis support, are non-refundable due to the nature of the work and time held.

Can I use insurance or submit a superbill?

For supervised therapy sessions only, yes, you may request a superbill if needed. Please note that because I am not yet independently licensed, not all insurance providers will reimburse, and this is not guaranteed.

Is this therapy or coaching?

Neither and both. Some sessions are legally structured as therapy under supervision. Others are spiritually aligned, emotionally intensive offerings rooted in truth, resonance, and clarity. I don’t believe in hierarchy when it comes to healing. The structure will always be clear, but the care is the same.
