California Holistic Referral Network + Listserv
An Ecosystem of Care
This is A Curated Space for Referral, Collaboration, and Whole-Person Care.
This space exists because the way people actually seek support does not live in one lane.
People move between therapy, psychiatry, body-based work, spiritual guidance, community care, and spaces that don’t always fit into clinical language. That is real. That is already happening.
This network is built to reflect that reality, while still holding structure, integrity, and accountability.
The goal is not just to find a provider.
It is to connect people to support that actually makes sense for their lives.
Understanding the Network
This is a California-based therapist referral network and clinician listserv designed to support connection across mental health, holistic, and integrative care providers. This space exists to make it easier for clinicians and practitioners to find aligned referrals, resources, and collaborative support.

About This Space
This is a curated referral and collaboration network.
It is not an open or unmoderated listserv, and it is not designed for high-volume posting.
Participation is guided by intention, alignment, and the overall integrity of the network.
To maintain that:
• not all posts are approved
• responses may not be immediate
• time-sensitive needs are not guaranteedThis space prioritizes clarity, usefulness, and thoughtful connection over speed or volume.
This space is maintained by one therapist alongside full-time clinical work and other commitments.
If you are here, you are part of maintaining that standard.
-
This is a referral and collaboration network for clinicians and practitioners who understand that care is layered.
You may be:
• a therapist, social worker, or associate
• a psychiatrist or prescribing provider
• a psychologist or assessment specialist
• a community-based clinician or clinic
• a somatic or body-based practitioner
• an acupuncturist or integrative provider
• practitioners working within broader systems of care, including body-based, spiritual, energy-work, and community-rooted supportThese are all part of the ecosystems people already move through.
This space does not separate them.
It brings them into conversation, with intention. -
There is a difference between acknowledging the full spectrum of care and losing structure. This is not a free-for-all.
This space is grounded in:
• discernment over volume
• alignment over availability
• care over visibility
• real understanding over surface-level interventionThis is a space for people who think about the work, not just do it.
-
This space is grounded in care that is anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and rooted in a commitment to do no harm.
That includes acknowledging systemic harm, lived experience, and the ways those realities shape access to care, mental health, and relationships.
This space values:
• cultural awareness and humility
• trauma-informed and relational approaches
• accountability in how providers show up
• respect for the full humanity of the people being supportedThis is not a neutral or apolitical space. It is an intentional one.
-
Everyone here is responsible for how they show up.
If you are a licensed or pre-licensed clinician:
• you are expected to follow your governing board regulations
• represent yourself accurately
• practice within your scopeIf you are a non-clinical practitioner:
• engage ethically and clearly within your scope
Across all disciplines:
• engage with care and intention
• avoid assumptions or unnecessary policing
• prioritize alignment over availabilityIf something is unclear, ask before interpreting.
-
How This Space Works
This is a referral-first network centered around connecting people to support.
Most posts should be in search of something (ISO), whether that is a therapist, provider, group, or resource for someone being supported.
Practitioners across disciplines are here because they often support individuals who need care beyond their own scope.
This is not a space for general service-seeking or unrelated requests. Posts should remain grounded in care, support, and wellbeing needs.
How to Post
Posts should be structured around a clear need.
Examples:
• ISO therapist for trauma and ADHD
• ISO psychiatrist who takes insurance
• ISO acupuncturist for chronic pain
• ISO group support for griefResponses should be directly connected to that need:
• “I’d be a fit, I work with X and have availability”
• “Here is a group that aligns with what you’re looking for”
• “I recommend this provider, they specialize in this”Strong posts lead to strong referrals.
What Does Not Belong Here
This space is not for:
• general self-promotion or ongoing visibility
• posting services without a referral context
• mass advertising or unrelated offeringsExamples:
• “Hi, here’s everything I offer”
• “Check out my classes this week”
• “I have openings, reach out”This kind of posting creates noise and makes the space harder to use.
-
People are often navigating multiple systems at once.
They may be:
• in therapy and also working with spiritual practitioners
• seeing a psychiatrist and needing somatic support
• connected to community care but lacking clinical resources
• trying to make sense of their experiences across multiple frameworksThis space exists to support that reality, without dismissing it or overcomplicating it.
Instead of ignoring that, this space is built to hold it.
To make it easier for providers to connect clients to support that reflects the full picture of their lives.
-
This is a referral-first space, not a visibility-first space.
Most engagement should be in response to a specific need.
To support connection, there will be designated monthly threads where you can:
• introduce yourself
• share your specialties
• name your offeringsOutside of those threads, posts should remain referral-based.
If your service directly meets a request, it is appropriate to share it in response to that need.
-
Posts should not include identifying or traceable information.
At the same time, context matters.
The goal is to share enough clinical or situational detail to make an aligned referral possible, without making someone identifiable.
Avoid:
• names, exact locations, workplaces
• highly specific personal details
• case-style descriptionsKeep posts focused, relevant, and respectful of privacy.
If more context is needed, it can be shared privately.
-
Before posting, take a moment to make sure your post:
• is specific and relevant to the need
• includes enough context for an aligned referral
• is written clearly and directly
• reflects care and professionalismStrong posts lead to strong referrals.
If more detail is needed, it can be shared privately.
